Portraits 1

Don't I just have gorgeous friends? Our next photo unit is Portraits and so these are just some of the 60ish I took on the first day! I love my friends. I can't wait to take more. I prefer candid, not posed photo's to the more posed, school picture day, photos. Thanks guys for letting me photo you!

Color Selection

Though some camera's, mine included, have this feature called color accent, where you can black and white everything except this color, we had to do it by hand on Gimp. These aren't the ones I turned in... but it is the general idea. After

There you have it.

Abstract

The name is pretty self explanatory... I mean how do you explain abstract? So here are my photo's. My finals are the first two and the last one.

Motion

Here is another Photo assignment. The requirements were:

  1. Evidence of effort- Take at least fifteen photos for each final photo. This means you’ll take at least 45 photos total. You will turn in 3 photos.

  2. One photo which demonstrates Panning: Object should be in focus and surrounding area should be blurred by motion.

  3. One photo which demonstrates Freezing Motion: a moving object is frozen in sharp detail.

  4. One photo which demonstrates Blurred Motion: a moving object appears to be “streaking” in the photo while the background remains sharp.

  5. The photograph has an interesting figure-ground relationship. The space of the page is divided in an interesting way. (both photographs)

Here are my photo's. The first three are my finals.

Depth of Field

I missed this assignment while I was in Texas and had to make it up. The last two are the ones I actually turned in, and the rest are the ones I tried. For this assignment we had to turn in two pictures, one with a shallow depth of field (front in focus, back blurry) and a deep (all in focus).

Boring March day.. Or is it?

So I was standing in my living room talking with my mom and dad and all of a sudden I see this silver car slam into a tree! Our house backs this street. There is a place for a U Turn and we think she just over did it. We go to the window and see this teenage girl get out of the car and run into the other neighborhood. Crazy huh? Here are some pictures taken from our back yard.
My dad called the police and we just stood out side watching it for a while. Then a girl came over and said that the girl who crashed was her sister's best friend and was at her house. She said that she was fine and not to worry, they had called a tow company. After that I went inside. Later, the police showed up and my dad found out that the girl who crashed didn't even have a license. We don't know anything else but that changed our boring march day into an interesting one.
