Tuesday, July 10th

Today at Young Women's we learned our Skit/Dance for Girls Camp.  It is super silly, but isn't everything at girls camp?  It should be lots of fun as it is to the tune of "What make you Beautiful" by One Direction.  The lyrics we rewrote to be "Nephi, You're so Spiritual!"  Our ward is "Club Nephi" and the stake theme is University of Exaltation or something similar.  Girls Camp is in 7 days, but my dad has a lot of the camping equipment with him at Wood Badge, so we get to wait to pack until he gets home on Saturday.  Counting the days!

Monday, July 9th

Today, really early, Dad left for Wood Badge, which is like Scout Camp for Adults usually leaders.  Bye Daddy! I'll miss you!

I had Color Guard today, and we got to run laps on the Lone Peak Track.  What made me happy, which is rather rude of me, is how slow everyone else was.  It made me feel like running is actually helpful for something!

Sunday, July 8th

Ben, Amira, and Lola came over for Sunday Dinner today.  That was fun.  Amira is so big now!  I have to admit, I spent most of the time working on my Secret Sister Gift, which turned out pretty cool.

What really made me happy though, was in Young Women's we sung our stake song, A season to be Strong.  I really love that song.

Saturday, July 7th

Today was Kyle and Erin's Wedding.  But I didn't get to go, even to the temple to wait outside.  So, instead I stayed home and worked on some personal progress and caught up on my scripture reading.  It was nice to have a more relaxed day after a pretty frenzied week.

Friday, July 6th

Today was my cousin's Kyle's wedding reception.  His wedding is tomorrow to a girl named Erin.  She is very nice.  The reception was held in the Lion House Gardens.  It was basically a big courtyard behind the Lion House.  It was a nice evening and it was nice to be outside.  The food was good too.  But they had these jars of candy, and one of the jars was full of jellybeans.  The floor was covered in smashed jellybeans by the end.  I pity the poor people who had to clean that up.  But they tossed the bouquet (caught by Kyle's sister, Olivia) and the garter (caught by someone I didn't know) and cut the cake (which was good).  It was a nice reception.

Thursday, July 5th

Today was Cassie and Steven's Baptism day.  I got to lead the music, which is really cool.  However, I wasn't big enough according to my mom, and therefore the pianist who was way in the back couldn't see me.  But anyway, congratulations Cassie and Steven!

Wednesday, July 4th

Happy Independence Day!

After sleeping over last night in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard, we ran in the Centerville Fourth of July 5K.  After eating a "bagel and fruit" (cinnamon rolls and muffins) breakfast instead of a pancake breakfast we made our way to our parade spot.  We watched the parade and collected candy before retreating back to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  We lazed until we felt hungry and then Barbequed lunch.  We left around 4:00 and went home where we took "naps." After we ate dinner we went to Brave, which I have been waiting to see since I heard about it.  It was great!  Afterwards we stayed for the Thanksgiving point Fireworks.

Brave was by far the best part of the day!

Tuesday, July 3rd

LES MIS!  Today I got to see Les Miserables at the Shakespeare Festival.  It was amazing!  I also got an awesome shirt.  It was a great day.


Of course then we start home only to find out that our house is close to on fire.  But still, Les Mis!

Monday, July 2nd

Today, I finally (finally!) beat Ethan at chess.  We played three games.  I won the last one!  Hooray!  For those of you who are unaware, Ethan is 7.  Yeah.  Any way, WHITE WINS!  HOORAH!

Sunday, July 1st

Today we were challenged by our Bishop to read the Book of Mormon by December 31st.  So as a family we drew up a chart and will read it.  This will be interesting.

Today we also played in a pickle.  That is a really fun game.  Here is Ethan posing for me.

Happy Birthday Micah!

To celebrate, or maybe just for fun, I tagged along on a hike with Dave, Kristi, Angela, and Micah.  It was a fairly easy hike, and tons of fun.  Doughnut falls was the name of the destination.  A stream of water wore a hole in this rock, and now the water come crashing through into the small cavern below.  You can get right up to the falls, if you are willing to get wet up to about your knees.  It was a fun trip.  Kristi, my aunts, new obsession is rocks.  She got a polisher and polishes everyday stones so that they look really pretty and cool.  So that is what she spent the hike doing, finding new rocks.  I was wet pretty fast, but I didn't mind.  I even got my heart rate up enough that I can count it for my exercise program! Hooray!  Thanks for bringing me guys!

Friday, June 29th

Today I was surprised by a poster.

I was called away to help my mom with something suspiciously vague (not that I realized that until way later).  When I returned to my room, my mom, Megan, and Dad followed.  It took me forever to see it.  A poster had been hung on my magnet board.

This is a Vincent Van Gogh painting of the TARDIS from Doctor Who.  Pretty amazing.

Thursday, June 28th

Happy Birthday Emily (for real this time) !

After another color guard practice, we went to see Mirror Mirror for Emily's special day.  It wasn't the best (I'm still waiting for Brave) but I liked it okay.  It was fun anyway.

We had Chexmix in place of cake and watched another movie, My Future Boyfriend.  That one was funny.  All in all a fun day.
