Happy Birthday Emily (for real this time) !

After another color guard practice, we went to see Mirror Mirror for Emily's special day.  It wasn't the best (I'm still waiting for Brave) but I liked it okay.  It was fun anyway.

We had Chexmix in place of cake and watched another movie, My Future Boyfriend.  That one was funny.  All in all a fun day.

Wednesday, June 27th

Retainer!  I don't know if that makes me happy, but it is here!

 I was metal free for all of 2 days before I went back to metal mouth, this time with no end in sight.

Tuesday, June 26th

Camp Kickoff.
Today, Mutual was Kickoff night for girls camp.

Our skit song is to the tune of "You don't know your Beautiful," the One Direction song.  The words however are "Nephi your so spiritual!"  We'll see how that goes.  We also started practicing "A season to be strong" one of my favorite songs.  Can't wait for Camp!

Monday, June 25th

Goodbye Brace Face!!

I got my braces off today!! Hooray!  I get my retainer on Wednesday, but until then, my mouth is metal free!

Sunday, June 24th

Happy Birthday Emily and Micah (observed)!!

Dave and Kristy joined our Sunday dinner party this week while we celebrated our birthdays.  I thought Megan should have been included to.  But, Hey.  We had fun, especially when the Jones came and joined our Werewolves game.

Saturday, June 23rd

In the morning was the Youth Fundraiser: a combined Car Wash and Bake Sale.  Not the most original but it was okay.  Somehow I got stuck on sign dancing duty for an hour and a half and got the sunburn you may see in the pictures below.

That night, we went down to Salt Lake.  We went to the Clark Planetarium, always fun, and then went swimming at the Hotel we were "staying at."  We actually came home to bed so we could get to church in the morning.  But it was fun to go on a day-cation.

Today, I slept in.  That in of itself makes me happy as it felt like the first time in a long time.

Thursday, June 21st

So, I had color guard today again, and we finished the preshow, which is the music I posted on Tuesday!

The show is titled Coulrophobia.  I'm excited! (And exhausted!)

Wednesday, June 20th

Today I spent all day babysitting a little boy.  Though cute, it is frustrating trying to communicate with him.  When I ask a question like "Do you want to play with your cars?" or "Did you have a good nap?" he doesn't nod or shake his head, he points at random places.
But, while he was napping, I got to watch Doctor Who, and that did make me happy.

And, I made money so that is a good thing too.

Monday, June 18th

Pretty much nothing happened today.  I read all day, finished a book or two.  It was nice to be laid back.

Sunday, June 17th

Happy Father's Day!

We went to our Grandpa and Grandma Hot-tub (Nielsen) for dinner.  I felt sick the whole day, but I borrowed some books from Grandma recommended to me by Dad.
Books are always happy.

Saturday, June 16th

Mostly today I was extremely happy to see my bed at three in the morning.
But while unpacking I was also happy to see that my Sand Dollars survived the trip.
Saturday night was Megan's first Stake Dance, but that doesn't make me particularly happy, though not having to go did.
The thing that really made me happy was the fireworks.  Though, I did not go to where the accompanying music was playing, it was a cool show.  I watched from my room in my nest chair.

Tuesday, June 19th

Today I got to hear my Color Guard/ Marching Band Music.  It's exciting.  Here it is.

Friday, June 15th

Today is the day that we leave San Diego (aka Sandy Eggo).
After collecting all our thinks and having Dad pull up the car and load up our suitcases, we drove the the temple.We walked the grounds and tried taking many pictures.

After, we set out back on the road.  We ate lunch at Chick-fil-a and dinner at P.F. Changs in Vegas.  After dinner we crossed the street to the Belagio dancing water show.  We watched two shows.  One of them was to the Somewhere in time soundtrack, a new favorite of mine.  We left pretty quickly because Vegas is definitely not family friendly anymore.  We drove through the night and finally arrived home at 3:00.  And that means here ends the documentation of our vacation in San Diego.

Thursday, June 14th

We went running in the morning (again).  This time we took a picture!

After running, we went to the Hotel Del Coronado beach.  The sand was gold.  Okay, not gold in reality, but it really did sparkle!  And, finally, (jackpot) there were shells at the beach.  This beach also had Sand Dollars by the hundreds! We collected as many as we could, and there were lots!  It was tons of fun.  This was by far my favorite beach because it was also sunny that day!  All together a perfect beach day.

Just as we arrived a monster airplane flew over.

Just as we were leaving, a monster airplane almost the same as the first flew over us again!

After a morning at The Hotel Del, we went home to chill at the pool. We stayed there pretty late, but after we went to see La Jolla Cove.  Just Mom, Megan, and I got out and went down.  It wasn't really a swimming beach, at the time, because the tide was so high.  But it was pretty and cool.  We ran from stairway to stairway while the wave was out and I climbed out to a little cave thing.  It was so awesome.

There were seals just to the left of where we were.  It was pretty cool.

  After checking out La Jolla Cove we went home and cleaned up.  We went out for dinner at Mr. Fish & Chips, at my request.  For some reason that is just so cool to me.  It was good.

After a late late dinner we went home, watched even more Disney Channel and went to bed for the last time at the condo.
