Can you say Ireland? Day One

I got to get up at 3am this morning. -.- We took a bus to our coach station where our coach picked us up at 4:30, and took us on the hour and a half long journey to the airport. Once there we checked in and went through security and waited for an hour before they even showed our gate. Then we waited some more at the gate. We had to wake up very early to wait around a lot. :P But then we got to load onto the airplane from the tarmac and so that was cool. :)

We arrived in Dublin and took a bus to the city center and walked around Trinity College, including going into the library and seeing the book of Kells. It was a rainy day when we went, and there isn't much artificial light in the library, so it was hard to take great pictures. But it was amazing.

I found my building.
After wandering around, we went and grabbed lunch at KFC, because we were hungry and just wanted food and it was right there.

Then we went into a souvenir shop next and found this beauty. I thought about getting it for Soren, but then didn't.
We walked through the city on our way to our hotel.

This is our hotel, and it was excellent! The owner was very friendly and it was exactly just what we needed.

Then we walked back through the city to Dublin Castle and sat on the grounds for a couple of hours chatting until we then went to St Patricks Cathedral for Evensong.

It was a really cool service, and was a good end to the day. After that we just walked back to our hotel and grabbed food at good old Tesco on the way. We were exhausted, so we called that a day and went to bed.
