We met this morning at 8:40 and hopped on a train to Versailles. It was SO SO SO freaking crazy busy and not very enjoyable, so I was glad I had done it before. Then we literally ran through the gardens but all the fountains were closed so that wasn't as cool either. Then 2 hours later we hopped a train away from Versailles. Needless to say, it did NOT do Versailles justice at all. Which is sad. Here are my limited pictures from the jaunt:

We went to Chartres Cathedral next, which I thought was amazing, though they were in the middle of construction so part of the inside was covered. We walked around the outside and talked about the exterior, then we went in and were told we couldn't talk in there so, instead we were assigned to write about one of the windows and let loose to enjoy.

Then back to London where we had another day at the Louvre, but due to our exhaustion and it being our last night in Paris, they took half the time they planned on and let us go. We went to the Champs Elysees and I got Laduree macaroons :) We then found our way home, but my two roommates with keys weren't home yet, so I sat in the lobby and worked on my freewrites until they got home. Then we slept our last night in our very cramped hotel.

I'm so glad our experience at Versailles was better!! Sad for your friends that hadn't been. That cathedral looks amazing! I want to go! Where is it? I think you meant you went back to Paris, not London, because you are so lucky to have gotten macaroons!!
