Sunday and Monday

Our new (less expensive) route for church was shut down so we ended up taking the old route to church today. Braiden gave a talk and Brynn said the prayer in Sacrament Meeting today (yay involvement!) During Sunday School the teacher was sick, so we joined the Investigators class! I think we might have overwhelmed them though. 8 BYU students plus the Second Counselor of the Bishopric tends to do that. Then I got to teach the lesson in Young Women's on prayer! I think it went really well, so that's good. :)

After church we had a ward YSA Family Home Evening Activity and ate lunch and chatted and had a quick lesson/activity, and jumped on a bus home.

We got home to find out that dinner was moved up to 5 (rather than 6) so I had to start in on dinner duty as soon as I got home. We ate Leek Pie, which I did not think was that bad, but apparently is infamously hated by the last group, the other students, and the teachers. But we had apple pie for dessert, so all is well that ends well.

Monday! I didn't have to wake up until 8:15!! It was glorious. Then we had class at 9 before heading to the National Gallery to look at Baroque art. We traded off going to the museum and walking around with Greg learning about the legal side of London, during which we walked through the Inner Temple area, which was beautiful.

After we finished up class we went to Ben's Cookies which is supposedly a big favorite of all Study Abroaders, however, I was not a fan. Then we went and rode bikes in Hyde park, and saw a royal Helicopter take off from Kensington. We were to late to see who was in it, but we found out later is was the QUEEN! I was 100 ft away from the Queen of England!! Craziness.

After riding bikes we came back and started planning stuff for the next two weeks that we are here. Dinner tonight was pizza, maybe to appease us after the Leek Pies. After dinner we had FHE, where Cecelia shared some of her life experiences. She really is amazing! Then I worked on some homework and updating this lovely blog of mine. :)
