Thursday the 12th Day 2

Today we had a little bit of free time in the morning, so I went with Martha and some other people to Rodin Museum, and I really really enjoyed it. I had gone last year, but we only to the outside gardens, not inside. But I really loved it

It was really cool and I really enjoyed it. Then we grabbed lunch and met up with the group at the Saint Michel Fountain to take turns going to the Cluny museum, which is full of medieval artifacts.  The other group went and walked around with Greg and learned about the surrounding area. I was in the Cluny group first and we got to see legit Roman Baths and so that was cool. I was feeling really sick all day though so after the Cluny we had an hour break and I chose to just sit in the Garden and drink some water and take some medicine.

Then back at it again through another bout of pouring rain walking around the Sorbonne area.

After both groups finished we went to the Musee D'Orsay on our own terms with a couple of free writes to finish. I took a lot longer than the others on my free writes, so I let them go ahead to the Eiffel Tour since I didn't really care to go up it. But then when I left the museum, the tube line I was planning to take was down because of riots so I decided to walk down the Seine to the Eiffel Tower, which was about a 30 minute walk. But I didn't realize that the protest was down the street that I walked down and there was a police barrier blocking the way, so I got to use my rudimentary french to find an officer who spoke English who waved me through the barricade and I continued on my way. It wasn't as big a deal as it sounds, but I was pretty nervous. I got to the Eiffel Tower and met up with my friends and we went and grabbed food and went back to our budget hotel. :)

Me creeping on my friends

I started sitting before the rain came down

I'm so glad you got to go in the Rodin museum!! I think it's cool too. Proud of you for getting thru Paris on your own and happy you didn't get shot or arrested for your rudimentary French to the machine gun holding barricade officer!! (I can't believe how cool your photos are just on your camera! You've got skills!)
