Paris, France Wednesday the 11th

We started our day very very very early in the morning. Waking up at 3am and leaving the center at 4 in order to catch our 5:40am train to Paris!! We got through security and onto the train and I promptly fell back asleep for the 2.5 hour train ride to Paris, including the part where we went under the channel. We arrived in Paris and put our backpacks in a day locker, except for the stuff we needed that day and headed off!
We don't want to be awake this early
But Trains are Fun

Yay Paris!
1st Stop: Saint Chapelle

We went right to Saint Chapelle and spent some time admiring the windows and writing up an assignment. Even having been before, walking into the upstairs room still amazed me. It really is SO SO beautiful.

France doesn't like Selfie Sticks

My favorite part is the ceiling :)
2nd Stop: Notre Dame

We also quickly walked through the Notre Dame and talked about the architecture and art of the inside and out.

3rd Stop: FOOOD

We walked a block away from Notre Dame and went down a street full of street food, mostly Crepes and Gyros. I got a cinnamon sugar crepe :)

Then we got set free to explore for a while, we chose to go back to Notre Dame and climb the towers. It started raining as we stood in line, and it was hard to see a lot from the top because of the fog, but it was still beautiful and worth the thousands of stairs.

Also my coat? Not so waterproof :)

Then we walked down the Seine to the Louvre for our 4 o'clock appointment. Martha walked us through with our receivers on and I basically was writing non stop and it was crazy.

Was a little too busy running to catch up with Martha to take pictures, so I only have a few from the Louvre.

Then we headed for the hotel, which was very small and very cramped with three of us in there, but whatevers. The hard part was by the time we got back to the hotel it was 10 o'clock and all food places were closed and we tried to go find a McDonalds and ended up passing by like 4 groups of scary teenage boys and basically it was a very traumatic experience that did not end in food and we all just collapsed into bed, hungry and still damp. So, not such a great end to the day.
But, Paris nonetheless. :)

I've never been up the tower at Notre Dame. Cool! I love the pic with the gargoyle!! Saint Chapelle is gorgeous. I'd love to know what you learned about it. Sorry about the food. The post and pics don't look as bad as your text sounded. Perspective, distance or filter?😉 Hope the rest the trip went well!
